Nestled deep within the woods of southern New Jersey lies a refuge. It's not just any refuge, but a refuge for all kinds of native wildlife, like ducks and raccoons.
Founded in 1957 on 184 wooded acres,
Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge is dedicated to the
preservation of the Pinelands, environmental education and wildlife rehabilitation. Cedar Run reaches out through a variety of educational programs, for kids and the entire family. Wildlife are treated at the rehabilitation hospital and are safely returned to the wild or are given residence at the refuge, to help the public learn more about our native species. Cedar Run is working to preserve the refuge for future generations and to keep the Pine Barrens the lush area that it is today.
